New family of compact Pelican video encoders from Pixelmetrix
This new range of encoders comes with three models: Pelican Analog, Pelican SD and Pelican HD.
Pixelmetrix has just added the Pelican family of video encoders to its portfolio. With a design smaller than a 3.5-inch hard drive, this encoder is very compact, making it an option to consider alongside ENG equipment, and corporate and government applications.
Its configuration is carried out from an HTML5 web interface. All models support live IP streaming from an Ethernet port.
The Pelican family is born with three models: Pelican Analog, Pelican SD and Pelican HD.
Pelican Analog is intended to work with composite analog video and stereo analog audio inputs, while Pelican SD is aimed at SDI video and stereo audio such as mini-XLW with balanced audio, and Pelican HD supports HD-SDI video with embedded stereo and mini-XLR with balanced audio.
This proposal from Pixelmetrix supports most standards from 320×180 to 1080p, both in MPEG-2 and H.264.
