Harmonic appoints Lauren Ventura as channel vice president
Harmonic has also announced that Lawrence R. Kaplan, founding CEO of Omneon, is stepping down from his position although he will continue as a director of the company.

Harmonic has announced the appointment of Lauren Ventura as vice president of channel. With more than twenty years of experience in creating new businesses, developing plans and global marketing, Ventura is a veteran in this industry.
As a consultant with Boston Consulting Group and Bain Capital, Ventura worked on channel programs for innovation and marketing strategy for several high-profile clients. For more than 15 years she was senior marketing at Cisco, including a stint as marketing director in Singapore for the Asia-Pacific region.
Peter Alexander, CMO of Harmonic, has acknowledged that he is eager "to see the impact of having Luren. Our channel program is a vital component of our global growth strategy, and his experience in business program channel design and strategic implementation, both in the US and abroad, are the necessary ingredients to take Harmonic's channel one step further."
On the other hand, Harmonic has also announced that Lawrence R. Kaplan, founding CEO of Omneon, is leaving his position although he will continue as a director of the company.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank Larry for his important contributions to Harmonic. Thanks to him, the integration of Omneon into Harmonic is complete, and we are very well positioned for the future," said Patrick Harshman.
