The ICT Demonstration Center of Galicia offers a cycle of training workshops in virtual reality for SMEs

The ICT Demonstration Center of Galicia (CDTIC) hosts this week a cycle of Training Workshops on virtual reality for SMEs organized by the public entity Red.es of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism in collaboration with the Galician Agency for the Technological Modernization of Galicia (AMTEGA).

The first of the workshops, Applications of virtual reality and augmented reality in the company It will take place today, Monday, November 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and is aimed at managing directors, project directors, technical office heads and commercial directors. This informative seminar will begin with a keynote talk given by Miguel Motos, director of the Virtual Reality, 3D and Simulation Area. Ingevideo. The various applications and possibilities offered by Virtual and Augmented Reality in industrial manufacturing, construction, tourism, training or healthcare will be presented below.

The rest of the workshops, of a more technical nature, are aimed at professionals from the ICT, industrial, architecture and design, retail, audiovisual and communication sectors. Through these sessions, basic knowledge of augmented reality and virtual reality technologies will be provided: what they are, what they are for, what content creation is like, what is the basic use of the UNITY3D real-time rendering engine and what free software tools we have.

The ICT Demonstration Center, launched by the Xunta de Galicia, constitutes a reference space with the aim of disseminating the advantages of the incorporation of ICT in SMEs, promoting the creation of meeting spaces between the supply of the ICT sector and the potential demand of SMEs, disseminating the advantages of the incorporation of ICT into production processes, facilitating the transfer of technology, specialized services and knowledge between the ICT sector and SMEs, as well as advise, train and technologically train companies.
