4K London relies on Leader's LV5330 and LV5380 test equipment
The Leader models LV5330 and LV 5380 are equipped with Cinelite and Cinezone tools that provide more intuitive information in digital cinematography workflows.
4K London, one of Britain's most active providers of digital cinematography services, has invested in several LV5330 and LV5380 analyzers from Leader, supplied by Thameside (Shepperton).
Tristan Hey, Workflow Supervisor at 4K London, highlighted: "These latest purchases form part of our current inventory of LV5330s which have been used very successfully since they were purchased in mid-2011. They have proven to be very effective in digital cinema sessions shot with Panavision and with ARRI Alexa / Codex, RED Epic and Sony F-65 workflows, as well as other digital formats. All our LV5330 and LV 5380 from Leader are equipped with Cinelite and Cinezone tools that provide more intuitive information.”
Cinelite allows filmmakers to work with the same f-stop settings that have been used for decades, and a simple comparison of relative levels at any point in the image. For its part, Cinezone provides continuous information in real time that guarantees total control of luminance overload through a color code that simulates the luminance level.
Both models have the same intuitive user interface.
According to Hey, "being so easy to use allows the production team to move quickly between one model or another. The LV5330 and LV5380 models are also used as part of long-term backup processes and archive services, allowing on-the-spot checks to ensure that content is fully compliant."
Leader LV5330 supports more than 20 formats, including HD-SDI/SD-SDI SMPTE 259M, 274M, 292M, 296M and. Its 6-inch XGA TFT display can be configured to display YCbCr, YRGB, YGBR, GBR or RGB luminance waveform, color vector, five bars, surround sound level, and video source status.
In Freeze Mode it allows the comparison of different SDI input signals. In addition, thumbnail images can be displayed by comparing them with each other, also auto-detecting the input format, colorimetry, black level and trilevel from an external reference.
The LV5380 model features a similar specification to the LV5330 but with an 8.4-inch XGA display.
