Samsung will reveal its 5.5-inch flexible screen proposal during CES 2013. It is expected that during the big Las Vegas fair, the company will even announce its incorporation into some television or smartphone model.

The screens, despite being super-flexible, cannot be rolled up, although Samsung guarantees that they are very resistant and practically unbreakable, offering great design freedom.
In addition to creating the material that transforms the main substance of the screen, the company's laboratories also need to develop other components such as the cover lens or the touch panel. That is, this panel will only be on the market once mass production of these components is achieved.
Samsung has been developing flexible screens for a long time. In 2011, the company itself showed a 4.5′ AMOLED screen with a bending radius of 10mm. In addition to that, this technology has also been adopted by other manufacturers such as LG and Nokia, although none of these projects have been related to smartphones.
