Ikegami will show at NAB the potential of its new 4K HDR UHL-43 compact camera
The UHL-43 employs three 8.3-megapixel 4K 2/3-inch CMOS sensors in the same workflow and remote control structure as Ikegami's Unicam XE series UHK-430 and UHK-435 cameras.
In NAB 2020, in Las Vegas, Ikegami will showcase the new UHL-43, a HDR compact camera Designed for applications such as robotic studios, outdoor broadcasting of live events, parliamentary television, point-of-view imaging, weather coverage, traffic surveillance and public safety monitoring.
The UHL-43 uses three 2/3-inch CMOS sensors and 4K with 8.3 megapixels in the same workflow and remote control structure as Ikegami's Unicam XE series UHK-430 and UHK-435 cameras. Unlike cameras that use a single chip or pixel-shift technology, the integration of three 3840 x 2160 resolution CMOS sensors and prism optics provides true UHD capture resolution, high-quality color reproduction and complete freedom from color aliasing.
With some dimensions of only 145 x 155 x 169 mm wide and a weight of only 2.6 kg, the camera head can be used on virtually any support device, such as a shoulder harness, long reach arm, or ceiling mount.
Combining high sensitivity (F11 at 4K 50p) and a very high signal-to-noise ratio (typically 62 dB), the UHL-43 can work even in low lighting conditions. Fully HDR compatible, it delivers detailed image quality across the full range of brightness levels from deep black to maximum white, while capturing a wide range of colors. HLG mode is included, conforming to the international ITU-R BT.2100 standard for HDR. Custom gamma curves can also be configured and stored within the camera, allowing the implementation of any desired curve.
Control functions are accessible on the camera head or via a selection of Ikegami OCP series remote control panels. The integral Ethernet interface allows easy control from virtually any distance, making the camera ideal for remote monitored outdoor broadcasting.
