The new KSM9HS features two different polar patterns that offer maximum flexibility for professional sound reinforcement: hypercardioid and subcardioid.

After KSM9HS

At the request of elite sound engineers and leading audio rental companies around the world and to provide greater flexibility and options in high-performance environments, Shure has developed a new version of the KSM9 microphone, the new KSM9HS.

After KSM9HSThe KSM9 features a dual diaphragm design with switchable cardioid and supercardioid polar patterns that, unlike the new KSM9HS, allows the user to choose between hypercardioid and subcardioid patterns.

The original KSM9, which debuted in 2005, will continue to be available with switchable cardioid and supercardioid polar patterns. Regarding their features, both the KSM9 and the KSM9HS have an innovative design. Highlights include the transformerless Class A preamplifier circuitry and its double gold-plated diaphragm, which provides the transparency of a studio microphone and minimizes the proximity effect for more consistent sound quality at different working distances.

Lastly, the KSM9HS is available in wired and wireless versions in the Axient and UHF-R series.
