Apple hires Kevin Lynch, Adobe's CTO, and a great supporter of Flash
A great defender of Flash technology, he will be in charge of coordinating the work of the software and hardware teams.
The CTO (Chief Technical Officer, technology director) of Adobe, Kevin Lynch, has left the company to start working at Apple where he will have an executive position under the shadow of Bob Mansfield, vice president of technology development.
Lynch is looking for “other opportunities,” as Adobe explained in a statement indicating that his departure will take effect on March 22.
At Apple, Lynch will be responsible for coordinating the work of the software and hardware teams.
What is striking about this signing is that Steve Jobs had numerous disagreements with Lynch, who led Adobe's responses to Apple's attacks on its popular Flash technology.
Lynch went so far as to call Apple's decision to block Flash "bad for consumers and protectionist."
