Apple unifies its television ecosystem under the Apple TV brand
A little footnote in the latest press release from Apple sheds light on a significant change in the television strategy of the Cupertino brand. Apple TV+, the company's VOD service, becomes Apple TV, a brand previously dedicated to its STB hardware proposal.
Through this movement, Apple consolidates the simplification of your proposal, combining under a single name its content and hardware ecosystem. In this way, the brand addresses a strategy similar to the one followed with Apple Music, a brand that encompasses both the music subscription service and the application.
Apple has accompanied the name change with a redesign your identity visual, which moves away from the monochromatic minimalism of its origins to opt for a more colorful and dynamic identity. The movement brings the image of Apple TV closer to that assumed by other of its star products, such as the iOS operating system or its entire range of smartphones.
The unification of Apple brands has accompanied the announcement of the premiere of F1: The Movie exclusively for platforms on Apple TV. The film will arrive on December 12, 2025 in resolution 4K with support for Dolby Vision y Dolby Atmos.
