GeoBroadcast Solutions uses Jampro Antennas technology for MaxxCasting and ZoneCasting
MaxxCasting expands FM signal coverage, while ZoneCasting (still pending approval in the United States) will allow hyperlocalization on radio.
Innovative in terrestrial radio, GeoBroadcast Solutions (GBS) has trusted Jampro Antennas as a technological partner to help radio stations maximize their signals. Jampro partners with Harris Broadcast as an exclusive technology provider for MaxxCasting and ZoneCasting networks.
MaxxCasting expands FM signal coverage, while ZoneCasting (still pending approval in the United States) will enable hyperlocalization on radio across the reach of content delivered over the air.
Jampro will supply antennas, combiners and support equipment for these components. The custom antennas will be specially designed for those networks, directly providing the advancement required to ensure both maximized market coverage and highly specific regional reach.
Peter Handy, CEO of GeoBroadcast Systems, has highlighted that "a critical concern is minimizing conflicts created between multiple signals transmitted in the same market. Jampro clearly meets those challenges with special projects that can increase or decrease the radiant zone. That is perfect for ZoneCasting, where we are reaching geographically across various zones in a single market. On top of that, it is ideal for supporting coverage in areas with an unclear signal."
The business benefits of integrating Jampro with networks is that a wide audience receives the signal directly, which means advertisers reach more audiences.
Harris and Jampro also collaborate on radio and television broadcast projects. Harris, in this GBS project, will integrate the antennas and combiners across single-frequency FM transmission networks, providing several Flexiva transmitters and Intraples synchronizers, as well as control software specifically developed for GBS.
