Promax participates in the XVIII Cable and Broadband Conference of Catalonia 2013

At these conferences organized by CECABLE, the Cable Studies Center, Promax engineers present the possibilities of analyzing fiber optic signals.

engineers Promax have participated in the XVIII Cable and Broadband Conference of Catalonia 2013, organized by the Center for Cable Studies (CECABLE), sharing their experience in the analysis of fiber optic signals that are transmitted through Fiber networks.

To illustrate the session, a video camera was used whose signals were modulated with the EN-106 COFDM modulator and converted to an optical signal to be able to carry out the measurements with the Prolite-77 and Prolite-67 selective fiber meters as basic equipment. With the Prolite-90 field optical spectrum analyzer, the results of the different transmitted carriers were visualized.

The HDRanger+ field meter with selective fiber measurement was also used. With this simple assembly, technologies such as FTTH (Fiber To The Home) and RFoG (Radiofrequency Over Glass) were demonstrated that allow modern cable networks to compete with copper networks in speed and capacity.
