FAPAE and the FORTA regional governments sign a collaboration agreement
This agreement aims to search for mechanisms to access financing for the acquisition, by regional television stations, of intellectual property rights for works made by independent Spanish producers.
FAPAE, a Confederation that includes Spanish audiovisual producers and FORTA (Federation of Regional Radio and Television Organizations or Entities) have signed this Thursday a collaboration agreement whose fundamental objective is the search for mechanisms to access financing in the acquisition, by regional television stations, of intellectual property rights (whether broadcast or commissioned) of works made by independent Spanish producers.
Both parties have left in writing that this agreement does not condition or prejudice others that the entities associated with FORTA carry out with the federations and associations that are registered, autonomously, in FAPAE (PROA (Producers Audiovisuals Federats), AEGA (Association of Galician Audiovisual Companies), AEPAA-APRIA (Association of Audiovisual Production Companies of Andalusia), AGAPI (Galician Association of Production Companies Independent), AMA (Madrid Audiovisual Association), EPE-APV (EUSKAL Produktoreen Elkartea/ Association of Basque Producers), IBAIA (Association of Independent Audiovisual Producers of the Basque Country), PAV (Valencian Audiovisual Producers) Nor are the agreements that FAPAE partners make with national and regional television stations, whether public or private, limited.
To implement this agreement, which establishes advantages for both the Regional Television sector and the independent production sector in Spain, both entities are already working with Audiovisual SGR to discount contracts between independent production companies and regional television stations.
