Apple has demonstrated this Monday in San Francisco that the community of professional users continues to be in its sights by announcing the next generation of its Mac Pro professional computers.

It will be designed around a revolutionary unified thermal core and feature an all-new architecture with a design optimized for maximum performance. With next-generation

The next generation of Mac Pro is designed around an ingenious unified thermal core that allows the computer to efficiently share its thermal capacity between all processors. The result is a professional desktop computer with unprecedented performance in a design that is only one-eighth the size of the current model. Intel's new Xeon E5 processors with up to 12 cores deliver twice the performance in floating point operations.

With two AMD FirePro workstation GPUs, the new Mac Pro is up to 2.5 times faster than the current model and delivers up to 7 teraflops of power. The new Mac Pro also features PCIe-based flash storage, which is up to 10 times faster than conventional hard drives and includes new quad-channel DDR3 ECC memory with speeds up to 1,866 MHz to deliver memory bandwidth of up to 60 GB/s (based on prototype testing). With all this power, the new Mac Pro allows the user to edit video in 4K resolution while rendering effects in the background at the same time.

With six Thunderbolt 2 ports that offer data transfer speeds of up to 20 Gb/s for each external device, the Mac Pro will allow you to connect external drives, various PCI expansion chassis, audio and video connection boxes, and the latest external monitors, including those with 4K resolution. Each of the six Thunderbolt 2 ports supports up to six daisy-chained devices, meaning the user can connect up to 36 high-performance devices. Thunderbolt 2 is fully compatible with previous Thunderbolt peripherals and makes transferring data between Mac computers faster and easier than ever.

Apple has not yet announced the date of its launch later this year.
