The M82, presented in NAMM 2013, is a robust dynamic microphone that has a large 35 mm diaphragm, and offers excellent frequency performance.

Hand assembly at the company's facilities in Connecticut, the M82 is a robust dynamic microphone that has a large 35 mm diaphragm, and offers excellent performance at low frequencies. It is a “end-address” type microphone which means that it focuses on the upper part of the rejlla to the sound source, and has two separate EQ switches: Kick EQ and High Boost, which work independently, offering through the possible combinations four different adjustments, which allows adapting the microphone response to the sound source.

The M82 Kick EQ switch activates a passive filter that reduces some of the medium-low range frequencies (centered around 350Hz) commonly cut when processing a hype. This allows the hype to sound trimmed and makes the sound remain powerful. This configuration is specially designed to use with the sound of hype.

The High Boost switch enhances high frequencies and average range, from around 2kHz with a 6DB enhancement to 10kHz. For use with hype, this allows a greater attack when placed inside the hype. This provides the option of having a vintage -style hype sound, or a more modern sound. For a source as a voice or guitar amplifier, the enhancement of acute provides greater articulation and lightness in the upper registry

Although Telefunken M82 has been mainly designed for battery hype applications, the two Kick EQ and High Boost switches also make it suitable for use with voices, percussion, Broadcast voice, guitars, low, metal organs and instruments.

This model adopts the same body style of the classic U47 by using a similar architecture grid. Its finish is black, both in the grid and in the body, and has been rigorously tested to ensure that it could support the demands of a hype microphone both for study and direct.

The M82 Telefunken is supplied with a stand assembly adapter, a zipper padding, and a micro cable with a struck connector. As an optional accessory, an elastic suspension support is available.
