Broadcast IT Experience: la metamorfosis del audiovisual
The frenetic change that the audiovisual industry is experiencing with the emergence of new forms of media capture, contribution and distribution is representing a true metamorphosis in this industry. To address the real needs that the user has in their daily life in this environment, with new challenges and business models, IFEMA, in collaboration with Panorama Audiovisual, is organizing this year, on October 29 and 30, Broadcast IT Experience.
The audiovisual world is experiencing a metamorphosis that is changing the traditional business models of this industry at a frenetic pace, expanding them to new forms of capture, contribution and distribution of media at any time, device and place.
To take the pulse of the real needs that the user has in their daily life in this environment, with new challenges and business models, IFEMA, in collaboration with Panorama Audiovisual, organizes the Broadcast IT Experience on October 29 and 30.
These specialized conferences, whose focus and themes have been developed under the guidelines of the fair's Organizing Committee, will take place at the Feria de Madrid North Convention Center. A program that aims to become a meeting point for audiovisual professionals in order to exchange impressions, projects, and learn about the workflows, challenges and solutions shared by production companies, radio stations, television stations, telcos or new media companies.
Broadcast IT Experience will take the pulse of the sector in a rapprochement between users and industry so that manufacturers, integrators and distributors can adapt their offer and solutions for the next edition of the International Audiovisual Technology Exhibition (Broadcast IT), which will be held at IFEMA next May 2014.
This 'bridge of experiences' with Broadcast IT 2014 will be structured around two days focused on two major cores: IT/AV convergence and the challenges posed by the development of 2K/4K.
In different plenary sessions, presentations, round tables and workshops, leading national and international experts will offer their vision, with a practical and dynamic approach, on key topics for the industry, such as Over-the-top services; television “anytime, anywhere, anydevice”…; the new models derived from the second screen; the role of public and private television in a highly competitive environment derived from connected television, mobile television; multichannel audio and loudness; immersive sound,… In addition, professionals will learn in situ about the first experiences carried out in Spain in capture, storage and broadcast in Ultra High Definition 4K.
Are telcos transforming the future of the medium and do they intend to become broadcasters, at the same time that they aspire to be operators? How does the development of OTT services affect telcos? What ecosystem is possible to create around the second screen? ;Are we facing a 'cannibalization' or enrichment of the business model of the main signal?; How do broadcasters propose the new OTT, multi-channel and multi-device services? What consequences will arise from the adoption of Ultra High Definition, 4K and 8K formats?... These are just some of the issues that will be debated in these two intense days.
Guided tours, Workshops and Screenings
Along with the plenary sessions and conferences, Broadcast IT Experience will also be a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the most cutting-edge audiovisual facilities in our country, through a guided tour of broadcasters, teleports, headends, nodal broadcast centers and manufacturers' R&D centers. At the same time, those who participate in these sessions will be able to attend Screenings in which some of the first 4K works for film, television or advertising will be exhibited.
During the Broadcast IT Experience, a series of Workshops will also take place, in which professionals will have the opportunity to discuss in small groups such hot topics as production under new models such as lowcost, branding or crowdfunding; social tv; corporate television; cloud technology applied to the sector; digital signage and dynamic advertising,… in addition to getting up close and personal with some of the latest solutions on the market in terms of capture, media management, post-production or multi-channel playout.
Broadcast IT Experience is aimed at both top-level professionals and those freelancers who are a living example of what has been called 'technological democratization'. Participation in these sessions will be free, with registration only being necessary once the registration period has opened.
