Lluís Borrell will open the Broadcast IT Experience Conference
Borrell, today heading the media area at Analysys Mason internationally, has solid knowledge of all the strategic, commercial, financial and operational aspects related to the different television distribution platforms, including the radio spectrum.
The Broadcast IT Experience Conference, organized by IFEMA in collaboration with Panorama Audiovisual and which will take place on October 29 and 30 at Feria de Madrid, will have a luxury speaker for its opening.
Lluís Borrell, one of the audiovisual professionals with the greatest international projection and more than two decades of experience in the sector, will focus his speech on Tuesday the 29th at 9:30 in the morning on both linear and non-linear TV, analyzing the commercial and regulatory perspectives in Europe.
Today, heading the Media area of Analysys Mason internationally, Borrell has an extensive resume that includes projects in strong growth markets, such as broadband, as well as in the traditional and digital media market (DTT, DTH, cable, IPTV and Internet television). Its client portfolio includes regulators, operators, investment banks and content distributors, among others.
Lluís has directed a significant number of consulting projects in many European countries, and has solid knowledge of all strategic, commercial, financial and operational aspects related to the different television distribution platforms, including the radio spectrum. As an example, he recently led a study for the European Commission to analyze the technological trends that will impact the demand for additional spectrum over the next ten years in the 27 Member States of the European Union.
Before joining Analysys Mason worked for ten years for Spectrum Value Partners, where he collaborated with a large number of Spanish and international clients, helping them develop their business and open new markets. Previously, Lluís worked in the commercial and business planning department of Eutelsat, the world's leading satellite communications operator, where he played a fundamental role in the launch of digital television in Europe (Hot Birds).
Higher Telecommunications Engineer from the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (ETSETB), he also has a Master's Degree in Aeronautical and Space Telecommunications Systems from Telecom Paris (ENST), and an M.B.A. from INSEAD.
