Hispasat provides a satellite link at the Euroforum Infantes, headquarters of the Summer Courses, which can be used by information services and television programs that wish to send current images and news.
Hispasat, the Spanish satellite telecommunications operator, sponsors the XXVI edition of the Summer Courses of the Complutense University of Madrid, which from today until July 26 will be held in San Lorenzo de El Escorial. As a technological sponsor, Hispasat provides a satellite link at the Euroforum Infantes, headquarters of the Summer Courses, which can be used by information services and television programs that wish to send current images and news.
Hispasat will carry out the link through the Hispasat 1D satellite, located in the 30º West orbital position. The video carrier used has a DVB-S modulation and coding system, an information speed of 4.6 Mb/s and a bandwidth of 4.5 MHz. For its part, the transmitting earth station used in the link has a 1.2 m diameter antenna and has a 4 W BUC amplification system, an LNB reception system, a DVB-S MODEM modulation system and a video coding system MPEG-2. In addition, Hispasat will guarantee the technical maintenance of the satellite link during the weeks that the courses last.
On the other hand, Miguel Táuler, director of Resources and Organization of Hispasat, will be in charge of the closing and the delivery of diplomas to the course participants. The public debate on television: The social function of television, which will take place on July 11.
