Toshiba launches new 3-CCD mini camera
Heir to the popular IK-HD1, the new IK-HD2 incorporates 3 1/3” CCDs in a body that only occupies 33x39x40mm and offers an HD-SDI output of 1920×1080 pixels (in 16:9).
Thinking about broadcast and industrial uses, Toshiba just launched a new mini camera with 3 CCD. After the popularization of the IK-HD1, Toshiba has improved its control CCU with the IK-HD2 HD with new “broadcast friendly” possibilities.
Among the improvements, it stands out manual and auto exposure adjustment (shutter) with white balance, Black Gamma Level, focus assistant and manual red and blue balance adjustment.
Those users who have already had the opportunity to try this camera highlight its intuitive and simple use, being able to obtain HD images as soon as it is installed. The new IK-HD2E camera unit control is compatible with the IL-HD1H camera body.
The Toshiba IK-HD1 is a camera that has become widespread in numerous broadcast environments. The BBC, for example, uses it in live sports broadcasts, as a POV camera, in-car and, on some occasions, in a double configuration on a rig for stereoscopic productions due to its lightness and small size.
