The new MN-C-OPT-GV-2 card for MediorNet Compact allows users to connect their LDK and LDX cameras and base stations directly with MediorNet.

Riedel MediorNet MN-C-OPT-GV2

During IBC 2013, Riedel will show for the first time in Europe the new interface card for Grass Valley LDK and LDX cameras for their integration into MediorNet Compact networks.

The new MN-C-OPT-GV-2 for MediorNet Compact allows users to connect their LDK and LDX cameras and base stations directly with MediorNet. This provides a solution to bidirectionally route camera signals, including all embedded audio and telemetry control data, over the MediorNet fiber-based infrastructure. One of the advantages of this connectivity is the ability to freely assign cameras to any base station or CCU over the network, providing great flexibility in connections and eliminating the need for rewiring whenever production needs change.

The card fits into a single MediorNet Compact expansion slot and has two ports for connecting Grass Valley cameras or base stations. It also supports all video/sync formats that Grass Valley LDK and LDX cameras work with.

In Amsterdam we will also be able to see the universal MediorNet MN-C-OPT-HDMI and MN-HDO-4IO cards. Supporting a wide variety of Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) optical transceivers, these cards offer a very flexible configuration for MediorNet systems in the bi-directional transport of analog composite, HDMI, DVI, or SDI video over optical or coaxial.

Depending on the SFP transceivers installed, each card can provide different combinations with four HD (1.5G) or two 1080p (3G) signals, as well as analogue, HDMI, DVI or SDI signals over fiber using mini HDMI connectors.

Coinciding with IBC, Riedel will also show other solutions such as MediorNet Modular and Compact, the MediorWorks software and the Performer, Artist and Acrobat intercom systems.
