The investment fund specialized in entertainment and digital content based in Luxembourg has closed an agreement to co-finance four of the series from the Spanish Imira Entertainment.

Imira

Spain is a great power in the world of animation and company Imira Entertainment is a good example of this. The company has just closed a financing agreement with the Luxembourg investment fund specialized in entertainment and digital content, GD Entertainment Fund, to co-finance four series.

The agreement consists of completing the investment of Beat the Bed (52 x 11') and the second season of the successful Lucky Fred (104 x 12'), which will begin their production phase very soon, and will cover a percentage of the budget of the new shows Escape Hockey (26 x 26') and Mondo Yan (52 x 12'), presented a few weeks ago at the Cartoon Forum.

Less than a week before a new edition of MIPCOM begins in Cannes, this pre-contest signing is a milestone for Imira Entertainment and for animation made in our country.

"We are very proud to have been selected as the first partners of GD Entertainment Fund and we hope that this will be a successful and fruitful collaboration. The financial investment in four self-produced titles is great news with which we are heading to MIPCOM and the Bran Licensing Europe fair, where we will look for solid partners for our properties that include broadcasting and licensing agreements for the commercialization of the products," comments Sergi Reitg, CEO of Imira Entertainment.

This important alliance joins others that Imira Entertainment has closed in recent weeks.

Agreement with TVE

In its capacity as both a provider of children's entertainment and a co-producer of animated products, Imira has strengthened its relationship with TVE through an agreement to distribute content from the Spanish public channel's children's catalog in the international market. From now on, Imira's catalog will include children's entertainment content from TVE for an audience between 4 and 12 years of age, such as The Lunnis (104×27´), Asha (52×13´), Leonart (104×25´), Club Pizzicato (55×40´) and its derived program Pinched (25×30´), in addition to the novelty Blackie & Company (26×11´), a series co-produced by TVE and Baleuko in the production period.

"TVE has a fantastic catalog of series that Imira Entertainment is proud to represent. We have a recognized history of distributing Hispanic content around the world and we look forward to bringing these programs to global audiences," explains Reitg.
