González Ferrari assumes the presidency of the AERC

The Spanish Association of Commercial Radio Broadcasting (AERC) renews its board of directors and ratifies Alfonso Ruiz de Assín as general secretary.

The general assembly of the Spanish Association of Commercial Radio Broadcasting (AERC) has renewed its board of directors, electing Javier González Ferrari as the new president and ratifying Alfonso Ruiz de Assín as general secretary.

The president of Onda Cero Radio will thus assume the presidency of this association that encompasses practically all Spanish private radio stations.

The AERC expects that in 2014 the sector's turnover will increase by 0.8%. Despite the difficult economic situation, radio continues to enjoy strength with 64.7% penetration, 187 minutes of radio listening and 25.5 million daily listeners.
