Tim Richards takes over IBC chairmanship
He will replace Mike Martin at the head of the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC).
The IBC (International Broadcasting Convention), an entity that brings together IABM, IEEE, IET, RTS, SCTE and SMPTE and organizer of one of the main world fairs in the sector, will now have a new president at the head of its Council of Associates. Tim Richards will replace Mike Martin and will directly supervise the Dutch industry event.
Richards was delighted to take on "this difficult role at such a successful and exciting time for IBC. The media industry is changing dramatically, and IBC is at the heart of those changes. I am very interested in getting involved with IBC's plans for the future, and I am looking forward to working alongside the entire IBC community - its staff, committees and supporters, and the industry it serves."
The new president held the executive vice presidency of Walt Disney Television International and is a partner in the consulting firm Ravensbeck.
