Latest SanDisk solutions for professional video environments
The new CF Extreme Pro 256 GB and CFast 2.0 are a good example of how SanDisk responds to these new challenges.
The SanDisk Extreme Pro CFast 2.0 is the company's first card to use the CFast 2.0 specification, which translates to read speeds of up to 450 MB/s (3000X) and 350 MB/s write speeds. In this way, it is possible to transfer a 100 GB file in just 4 minutes, instead of 20 as with current solutions.
Intended for intense professional use, these cards resist extreme temperatures, vibrations, shocks and, in addition, have a special design to try to prevent them from being damaged when removing or inserting them into equipment. Canon or ARRI have been the first companies to give their decisive support to these cards.
On the other hand, SanDisk has the first memory card in CompactFlash format with the capacity to store up to 256 GB and support the latest video standards.
The new Extreme Pro CompactFlash is presented with a minimum writing speed of 65 MB/s that allows you to capture and store highly demanding images, reaching 160 MB/s for data transfer or 140 MB/s in shooting speed. And, like the rest of its series, it has been tested to work with extreme temperatures (from -13º to 185º Fahrenheit).
Christophe Rocca, marketing director for Southern Europe at SanDisk Marketing Southern Europe, reviews in this interview the advantages that the brand's cards provide depending on the application you want to give them.
