This summit, which has the support of the Ministry of Communications and Transportation (SCT) of Mexico, will be the first executive meeting place dedicated to the Latin American satellite communications sector.

Euroconsult, a consulting company specialized in satellite communications and broadcasting, will organize LATSAT, the first Latin American satellite communications and broadcasting congress, on June 4 and 5 in Mexico City.

This summit, which is supported by Mexico's Ministry of Communications and Transportation (SCT), will be the first executive meeting place dedicated to the Latin American satellite communications sector, where interested parties can discuss local and global market issues, build relationships, discuss developments in the sector and do business with their national and regional counterparts.

Steve Bochinger, director of operations at Euroconsult, highlighted that "Latin America has experienced strong growth in recent years in terms of satellite acquisition, usability and satellite services, and in particular the Mexican government has great ambitions for its national space and communications program. Therefore, it is essential that this region develops a central place in the business, where the future of the sector can be discussed and defined. With the LATSAT congress we seek to develop a reference event for Latin America based on a model similar to our event. most emblematic, World Satellite Business Week, which is famous for its high level of relationship building and deal closing.”

For his part, Jorge Alberto Juraidini Rumilla, general director of Telecomm, has assured that "the SCT through Telecomunicaciones de México (Telecomm) supports and participates in the organization of this event called 'First Latin American Satellite Congress'. Given its nature, the main industry players from both the public and private sectors will meet, which will represent a great forum for the development of opportunities in the region. Furthermore, it will promote the strategic role of satellite and complementary industries. to improve communications, contributing to closing the connectivity gap in Latin America.”

The two-day event will encompass a high-level program of speakers and executive-level panel discussions featuring government officials and industry executives. The sessions will cover all levels of the satellite communications value chain and will be moderated by high-level industry experts. The LATSAT Summit will bring together more than 100 high-level executives representing government and public agencies, as well as broadcasters, satellite operators, service providers or satellite manufacturers.
