Formula 1 starts strong on Atresmedia on multiscreen
All open races exclusively and, for the first time, available on multiscreen (HD on PC, laptops, tablets and smartphones -IOs and Android-) and Atresmedia Conecta.
Atresmedia turns on the engines of the greatest show in the world, Formula 1. All the passion and competitiveness generated by the premier motorsport category will once again reach fans of this sport through Antena 3, Nitro, antenna3.com and Onda Cero.
The group's media will be dedicated to collecting all the information and images of the Formula 1 world championship, which will begin on March 14 with the Australian Grand Prix, which will be held that Sunday the 16th. At the helm will once again be the most experienced Formula 1 team on television, headed by Antonio Lobato and composed of Nira Juanco, Jacobo Vega and Toni Cuquerella, who, once again, will be joined by Pedro de la Rosa and Marc Gené.
Antena 3 will be the only television that will offer open and live the 19 races that make up the calendar and which are full of new features. Spain maintains its appointment with maximum speed at the Catalonia GP, on May 11, in a tour of the world to which Austria and Russia join and from which India and Korea disappear to conclude in Abu Dhabi, on November 23.
Audience above football
Formula 1 is one of the major sporting events of the year and, since Antena 3 broadcasts it, it has become the most watched sporting competition in terms of viewing share in both 2012 and 2013, even ahead of the Champions League, the Euro Cup or the Confederations Cup. It is the second most watched sport in Spain, only surpassed by football, and the absolute king of Motorsport.
With its arrival on Antena 3 in 2012, Formula 1 achieved its best World Cup since 2008, with an average of 39.1% audience share and 4,175,000 viewers. With this result, it garnered more viewers than the last time Fernando Alonso won the World Cup in 2006 (4,111,000). The races of the US Grand Prix (7,166,000 viewers and 35.8%), Brazil (7,149,000 and 41.7%) and Abu Dhabi (6,647,000 and 44.3%) were the most watched of the 2012 Formula 1 season.
During 2013 he maintained his excellent results, with an average of 35.6% of the audience and more than 3.7 million viewers, despite the fact that since July Fernando Alonso's options to win the world title were very limited. The Canadian GP stands out as the most watched of the season, which is also the most watched Canadian GP in history, as well as the Spanish GP, which becomes Alonso's most watched victory in history (5,651,000 viewers), data that confirms it as one of the most effective and competitive sports on television.
Formula 1 fans will be able to enjoy each race, free practice, qualifying and the preview of the race live on antenna3.com and on the Atresplayer.com portal, both from their computers and mobile devices.
For those who cannot follow it live, Atresplayer will offer the most complete coverage of all the grand prix and even allows you to watch the race in its milestone player, in which the most important moments are highlighted.
Fans will enjoy the highest image quality to watch the races in HD, as well as the multi-device option to watch from anywhere. On PC, laptop, tablet and smartphone, accessible on both Android and iOS systems, and always live and free.
At antenna3.com/formula-1, fans will also find all the information about the World Cup, with news, reports, videos and photo galleries about all the races, as well as the most complete information about classifications, drivers, teams and circuits that are part of this 2014 World Cup.
And to achieve greater interactivity with the thousands of fans of the king of motor sports, Antena 3 is implementing this season Atresmedia Conecta a la Formula 1. This application, which already works in other Antena 3 and laSexta programs, allows followers to receive extra content from the race on their mobile phone and can participate and give their opinion in surveys and votes on what is happening, as a second screen. On your mobile or tablet you will have the times, results, classifications, all the information about circuits, drivers and teams.
