Atresmedia Studios enhances its status as a global creation factory with the integration of Atresmedia Cine

Mercedes Gamero will be the head of the film area of ​​the Atresmedia group as General Director of Atresmedia Cine.

Atresmedia Studios will integrate Atresmedia Cine, the division of the group dedicated to film production and business. With this move, Atresmedia Studios strengthens its status as a global factory for the creation and exploitation of fiction and entertainment audiovisual content.

Mercedes Gamero From now on, she will be the head of the company's film area as general director of Atresmedia Cine, the film production company, and will continue to be responsible for directing Atresmedia's Third Party Production Acquisitions and Sales.

During the year 2018, Atresmedia Cine production has accumulated 30% of the Spanish cinema box office with the release of 13 feature films. Since its creation, it has produced nearly 150 films and the results at the box office and awards each year prove its leading position in the film industry.

Mikel Lejarza, until now president of Atresmedia Cine, assumes new responsibility within the Group as an advisor to Atresmedia Studios, a company that continues under the general direction of Ignacio Corrales.
