BIT Broadcast 2014 will bring together the most outstanding professionals in the sector in more than 75 workshops
The Show will offer new content and activities around a scenario of experiences and trends in fields such as capture, studio, IPTV, broadcast, radio, film industry, television production, post-production, digital signage, training and AV solutions for events.
From May 20 to 22, 2014, the Feria de Madrid pavilions will host the International Audiovisual Technology Exhibition, BIT Broadcast 2014, which this year arrives with a 360º focus on audiovisual technology in its broadest perspective. New content and activities, in line with the changes that the sector is experiencing, ensure a more competitive and entrepreneurial edition than ever.
Along with the more traditional broadcast, you will find at BIT Broadcast 2014 the latest solutions for multichannel and device broadcasting, OTT services, film, radio and television production, as well as those intended to cover the growing AV demand in areas such as digital signage, dynamic advertising, museums, control... with the latest proposals in projection and display.
After the success of the workshops at the Broadcast IT Experience Conferences, organized by Ifema in collaboration with Panorama Audiovisual last October, BIT Broadcast 2014 will host an intense program of workshops. These workshops have the objective of bringing together leading industry experts with professionals to share experiences, success stories and the latest technologies in a format focused on the active participation of small groups, thus promoting two-way dialogue.
BIT Broadcast 2014 will have two rooms that aim to be a true showcase of experiences and trends in fields such as capture, studio, IPTV, broadcast, radio, film industry, television production, post-production, digital signage, training and AV solutions for events.
Far from presenting more or less abstract technologies, these 75 workshops will focus on the exchange of successful projects in a very dynamic format that lasts just half an hour.
The morning of the 20th will be dedicated to capture and studio solutions, presenting some of the latest projects shot in Ultra High Definition; the big mistakes and successes in 3D; the use of DSLR cameras versus traditional camcorders; solid state recording; contributions on 3G/4G networks; media management (MAM), or integration with lowcost solutions. In addition, some of the most outstanding European projects carried out in the last year will be addressed.
The afternoon workshops on the 20th will address emerging IPTV environments; smart television and multi-device and mobile broadcasting. The role of the satellite; coding optimization; Television everywhere, or distribution over IP networks focused on non-broadcast environments, will complete the day.
The morning of the 21st will focus on radio and cinema with workshops on loudness control on radio; the monetization of online radio; the future of radio content on emerging platforms; automation and media management in radio environments.
As for cinema, prominent cinematographers, editors and directors will participate in the BIT Broadcast 2014 workshops, while aspects such as crowdfunding, the role of Film Commissions or financing possibilities in the European framework will be addressed.
The afternoon of the 21st will have post-production and television production as the protagonists. The workshops will be attended by managers from prominent post-production companies as well as some of the most notable specialists in color correction and effects.
Fiction, documentary, animation, sports, advertising and low cost will focus on the workshops dedicated to sharing experiences in television production environments.
On the 22nd, one of the two rooms will be dedicated exclusively to digital signage, with a programming of a dozen workshops that will analyze the latest trends in 4K applications to digital signage; innovative uses of dynamic advertising; the rise of videomapping; conferencing or audience measurement. Numerous success stories in telemedicine, research, museums, and airport signage will complete this “Digital Signage Day” at Ifema.
Finally, BIT Broadcast 2014 did not want to forget those non-broadcast AV solutions, analyzing in several workshops aspects such as the role of audiovisuals in future smart cities; video training; telepresence; spectacular lighting with light and video, and augmented reality.
These workshops will be completed with a broad agenda of activities promoted by the exhibiting companies in order to configure an environment that generates synergies, new business opportunities and contact with the main players in the sector.
