Fork reaches version 4.6, now more interactive

Fork v4.6 provides expanded third-party integrations and new modules to simplify ingestion, editing, logging, distribution, and archiving processes.

Primestream has updated its media management and production automation platform, Fork. This production suite reaches version 4.6 with Workflow Manager v1.0, a new module for designing internal video production processes across multiple departments of a company.

With this manager, tasks are simplified, allowing content creators to focus on decision-making, communication and creation. The idea is to maintain efficient control throughout the entire production, broadcast and post-production process.

Fork v4.6 provides the extension of integrations with third parties and new modules to simplify the processes of ingestion, editing, recording, distribution and archiving of content for broadcasters, post-production companies or media departments in corporate environments.

These combined improvements ensure users maximum performance when editing on any of the three major non-linear editing platforms: Adobe Premiere Pro (CS6 and Creative Cloud), Avid Media Composer and Apple Final Cut Pro X, accelerating work and the ability to interact and collaborate.

Claudio Lisman, CEO of Primestream, highlighted that "the degree of integration with media asset management is something that editors needed because the days of isolated work in the editing room are over, and collaborative editing is now essential in any media company. Meanwhile, editors have to be able to edit in near real time to respond to high content turnover. With Fork v4.6, we have optimized the software to the point that the work of media asset management is more familiar, ensuring that all users can start working without waiting for the content to finish ingesting.”

Fork V4.6 has been designed to be more connected and allow two-way communication between editors. In addition, it now expands API compatibility by allowing you to work with files between SGL, Quant and Atempo, making it easier for users to browse, search, and filter content within their offline storage solutions, in conjunction with Fork MAM from any browser.

Fork v4.6, which will be introduced at NAB 2014, will be available for Mac and Windows operating systems, as well as hybrid environments.
