The sixth edition of the Afial Show opens its doors

Afial 2014, the show organized by the Association of Professional Audio and Professional Lighting Manufacturers and Importers, is celebrating its sixth event from today until March 27 at the Madrid Arena venue with a specific focus on the performing arts sector.

From today until next March 27, audio, lighting and audiovisual technology professionals have the opportunity to learn in detail and with live demonstrations the latest developments from the most representative companies in these sectors in Afial 2014, which today opened its doors at the Madrid Arena venue.

On a biennial basis, this professional exhibition will focus this edition on the participation of the performing arts and audiovisual technology sector, with the expectation of increasing the number of professional visitors, which in its last call exceeded 6,000 visitors.

As in previous editions, companies will carry out outdoor sound demonstrations during the three days of the event, although one of the new features this year is an indoor sound demo room for professionals to check live the quality and characteristics of the equipment presented.

Likewise, during this event there will be a complete program of conferences and presentations, such as the round table that will take place on the first day with the participation of all the associations that collaborate in the 2014 edition of Afial, such as Atae (Professional Association of Performing Arts Technicians); A.A.I (Association of lighting authors of Spain); APDI (Professional Association of Lighting Designers); AEC (Spanish Association of Authors of Cinematographic Photographic Works), and AIP (Portuguese Image, Cinema and Television Association), which will address the topic of education in lighting.

One of the most notable conferences of this edition is led by Pablo Moreno Montes, who together with AENOR technicians and an important group of riggers, will analyze the rigging regulations and the recent launch of a technical committee to achieve the regulation of the activity and the approval of the existing regulations in the rest of the EU countries on this matter.
