Designed by Julius Newell, this new studio designed for electronic music recording has very extensive control, a machine room where the noisiest equipment is located and a multi-function room on the upper floor.

Imagine SoundImagine Sound is the latest work made by Reflexion Arts. This studio, located in Barcelona, has been designed by Julius Newell and built by a team from Reflexion Arts.

The studio, consisting of a very large control room, a machine room where the loudest equipment is located and a multi-function room on the upper floor, is equipped with a Reflexion Arts 239 monitor system and two 18″ RA BX1 subwoofers. In fact, it is the first time that Reflexion Arts sets up subs in a studio exclusively dedicated to music, mainly electronic.

This studio premieres the new version of the Studio II stages that Neva Audio manufactures exclusively for Reflexion Arts. The most relevant novelty is that the new Studio II are presented with two transformers per channel, instead of the usual two transformers shared by both channels. With this, Neva substantially improves intermodulation distortion, since the separation between the Class AB channel (250W @8Ω and the Class A channel (60W@8Ω) is now total. System control is done through a BSS Blu160 equipped with analog inputs and outputs.

Imagine SoundIt is noteworthy that the studio can change color, since its walls are covered with a fabric, which, being acoustically transparent, reflects the light from the LED strips placed between the moldings.

The mixing console chosen, supplied by Funky Junk, was a 48-channel SSL Duality and the recording system, a Protools HDX with 4 Avid 16×16 for 64 audio channels.
