Telecable launches its OTT services in Mexico with Broadpeak technologies

Telecable rentabilizará, gracias a Broadpeak, la entrega de contenido en vivo y VOD a una variedad de dispositivos mientras que proporciona una calidad de servicio superior a los clientes.

TV cableTelecable, uno de los principales cableoperadores de México, ha seleccionado las soluciones de Broadpeak para su nuevo servicio multipantalla OTT. Utilizando el gestor de CDN, el servidor de streaming y las herramientas de análisis de vídeo de Broadpeak, Telecable rentabilizará la entrega de contenido en vivo y VOD a una variedad de dispositivos mientras que proporciona una calidad de servicio superior a los clientes.

Luis Vielma, director of operations at Telecable, highlighted that "the partnership with Broadpeak will allow us to take our service offering to a completely new level, offering our customers a high-quality OTT viewing experience that includes advanced features such as VOD, television on demand, and PVR on any device. Unlike other providers, Broadpeak offers the total CDN solution with streaming servers, network management, and video delivery analytics in order to deliver live and VOD OTT content in the multi-screen environment is a reasonable investment in our network.”

Los servidores de vídeo de Broadpeak soportan múltiples formatos de vídeo, incluyendo Apple HLS, Smooth Streaming, Adobe HDS, y MPEG-DASH Microsoft, lo que permite Telecable entregar contenido en vivo y VOD, incluyendo catch-up TV y NPVR , a cualquier pantalla. On the other hand, the use of the Mediator BkM100 CDN solution, a unified content delivery network manager, will allow Telecable to effectively manage load balancing and failover tasks. The BkM100 system continuously monitors content popularity based on subscriber usage patterns to deliver VOD content in the most cost-effective and efficient manner.

BkA100 will also provide Telecable with significant information, being able to filter the data at all levels to improve system management and quality of service.
