Totalplay launches the first 4K service in Mexico
This service includes the 4K offer of YouTube, Red Bull, BBC and Fashion One.
The Salinas group's platform, Totalplay, has taken a first step towards the development of 4K in Mexico with the launch of the country's first 4K channel package.
This service, which will have an additional cost of just $10.5 per month, includes the 4K offer of YouTube, Red Bull, BBC and Fashion One, as well as access to the Netflix repository in Ultra High Definition.
Totalplay will offer this service, through fiber optics and with the latest generation 4K STB, in the twenty cities in which it operates. This STB, in addition to making the 4K / Ultra HD experience possible, is also an access point that will expand Internet coverage in subscribers' homes.
According to Dataxis estimates, some 315,000 televisions with 4K technology will be sold in Mexico throughout 2016.
