Telecable, one of the main cable operators in Mexico, has selected the solutions of Broadpeak for its new multi-screen OTT service. Using Broadpeak's CDN manager, streaming server and video analytics tools, Telecable will monetize the delivery of live and VOD content to a variety of devices while providing superior quality of service to customers.
Broadpeak's video servers support multiple video formats, including Apple HLS, Smooth Streaming, Adobe HDS, and Microsoft MPEG-DASH, allowing Telecable to deliver live and VOD content, including catch-up TV and NPVR, to any screen. Through HTTP adaptive bitrate technology, the servers ensure that viewers receive the best video quality.
On the other hand, the use of the Mediator BkM100 CDN solution, a unified content delivery network manager, will allow Telecable to effectively manage load balancing and failover tasks. The BkM100 system continuously monitors content popularity based on subscriber usage patterns to deliver VOD content in the most cost-effective and efficient manner.
BkA100 will also provide Telecable with significant information, being able to filter the data at all levels to improve system management and quality of service.
