VSN integrates PAM, MAM and BPM to meet the demand of broadcasters and production companies

VSN has announced at BIT Broadcast 2014 the latest news regarding its Explorer suite for BPM and MAM. The fact of now integrating Production Asset Management (PAM) processes with Media Asset Management (MAM) and Business Process Management (BPM) allows VSN to satisfy the demand of broadcasters and production companies in both production and archiving and process management.

The new production module, VSNExplorer PAM, presented at BIT Broadcast, adds sequence management functions for Premiere, FCP and Avid MC to VSN's content and business process management solution. By registering sequences in the system, you can monitor the associated media at all times, archive entire projects and optimize the use of production storage.

In addition to the new production module, the MAM-BPM solution, VSNExplorer, comes with improvements in search functions, the possibility of sending content to social networks and webTV and native integration with Sony's ODA library. VSNExplorer is also available in the cloud and has the UMP transfer acceleration protocol integrated, making it one of the most complete solutions on the market for distributed broadcast environments and content exchange platforms.

At the Madrid event, from May 20 to 22, those who visited the VSN stand were able to see first-hand the possibilities that VSNLivecom offers for MOS-compatible studio automation, with control of up to 16 channels (4 A/B/C/D, 4 auxiliaries and their redundancies) and now integrated with third-party VSNNews Terminal and NCS. Another novelty is VSNLivelogger, a tool for cataloging live events.

Attendees were also able to see the different modules of the MCR and distribution automation solution in operation, among which VSNMulticom stands out, advanced continuity automation now fully integrated with webTV.

At BIT Broadcast, it has become clear how the Spider infrastructure, on which VSN bases its MAM, is a future-proof option since it is completely cloud ready and works under an SOA and web service scheme that allows full integration with third parties.
