LiveU unites freelancers and production companies with broadcasters in a virtual community
Using its own management technology, LiveU Community aims to become an online news sharing platform.
LiveU has launched a cloud-based platform that aims to create collaboration flows between freelancers, production companies and other service providers with hundreds of the best broadcasters from around the world.
Using its own management technology, LiveU Community aims to become an online news sharing platform. In this way, it will be simpler and cheaper for LiveU users to offer or request news or event production services anywhere, anytime.
LiveU Community is a reflection of LiveU's strategy to offer value-added services to its clients, based on the cloud-based centralized management platform, LiveU Central. Once the connection is made between the broadcaster and the service provider, the content can be transmitted and managed centrally.
With LiveU Community, LiveU uplink devices can stream to any LiveU server, essentially allowing the broadcaster to use any service provider's unit as if it were their own.
Samuel Wasserman, CEO of LiveU, acknowledges being proud of "having created an effective platform with hundreds of clients that serves as a bridge between broadcasters and the independent video community. The LiveU Community platform is a true innovation in its field, opening a whole range of options for our clients to connect with each other and acquire valuable content when they need it."
Wasserman adds that for the broadcast industry this initiative allows access to "content that would have been financially or logistically prohibitive until now, and freelancers and service providers have greater access to media around the world. LiveU Community reflects our long-term strategy to improve our offering with new value-added services."
