Pablo Rio launches its eighth update in less than a year
The new software includes support for XAVC, Apple ProRes 422, latest RED cameras and Avid effects shaping.
Quantel has just released another major update to its high-quality Pablo Rio finishing and color correction solution, as well as Pablo PA workflow enhancement software. This is the eighth update that Quantel presents in less than a year.
The new version focuses on the integration of all post-production flows, adding support for import and export in Apple ProRes 422 and more integration for Avid effects shaping. Also now included is support for even more file formats, including 4K XAVC export, as well as support for the latest RED cameras.
Support for Apple's ProRes 422 includes encoding to ProRes 4444, ProRes 422 (HQ), ProRes 422, ProRes 422 (LT), and ProRes 422 (proxy).
The new software also supports Avid DVE metadata shaping. This means that it is possible to carry out any rotation, scaling, flip or flop of any DVE offline in Avid and transfer them directly to Pablo Rio and Pablo Pa, saving time and increasing productivity in online sessions.
The latest version also includes RED V5.0 SDK support as well as DRAGONcolor and REDgamma4. The version includes many other new features that add capacity, operational simplification and speed such as: Mocha Tracker DVE Homography (ability to track an object and the pin of the tracking data as it changes), Blur normalization (taking into account the image resolution automatically applies a certain level of smoothness or blur), or single-button access to the multi-layer timeline on the Neo Nano color panel.
