More than 40,000 people attended the great electronic sports (eSports) party held at IFEMA Feria de Madrid, co-organizer of the event with LVP (Mediapro Group).

Gamergy 2018

Professional Video Game League (LVP) e IFEMA Feria de Madrid closed the eighth edition of Gamergy, Spain's largest electronic sports event, last Sunday. For the second consecutive edition, the different broadcasts of the LVP, of the group Mediapro, exceeded one million viewers. In that sense, the numbers harvested throughout the three days of competition are the highest in the history of the LVP.

League of Legends, Clash Royale
y Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) were the main protagonists of a weekend in which the professional competitions organized by LVP shined with special intensity, but in which there was also space for the semi-professional and amateur tournaments that crowned their champions in Gamergy.

One of the most notable elements of this edition is the consolidation of the international expansion of the event. In that sense, the second edition of the Gamergy Masters, a tournament of Clash Royale in which the best players in the world of the Supercell title have participated, has played a fundamental role. The Dutchman Frank “Surgical Goblin” Oskam, from the Spanish team Team Queso, was crowned before the thousands of viewers who followed the official LVP broadcasts in Spanish and English from countries such as Italy, Germany, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Argentina and France.

The number of attendees at the event has also grown compared to the Gamergy held last December. If 38,000 people passed through IFEMA Feria de Madrid then, in the eighth edition there were 40,000 attendees who wanted to enjoy the event in person.

The more than one million viewers of the eighth Gamergy consolidate the Professional Video Game League in the electronic sports sector at the national level. Through its different channels, the Mediapro group company already exceeds 80% of the global market share in terms of broadcasts in Spanish.
