'While the war lasts' exceeds one million viewers

Alejandro Amenábar's film grosses more than 6.5 million euros and establishes itself as one of the most viewed films of the year.

While the war lasts, directed by Alejandro Amenábar, has surpassed the million viewers since its premiere and with €6,522,774 raised consolidates its position in the ranking of the highest-grossing films of the year.

Amenábar, who this Tuesday receives the Golden Spike of Honor At the 64th edition of the Seminci in Valladolid, it is being acclaimed by the public and critics. The director and screenwriter has returned to filming in Spanish after the great success of Deep Sea (Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film), a true story that portrays Spain's recent past and recovers the figure of the exceptional writer Miguel de Unamuno.

The film stars Karra Elejalde, Eduard Fernández, Santi Prego, who together with Nathalie Poza, Patricia Lopez Arnaiz, Luis Bermejo, Tito Valverde, Inma Cuevas, Carlos Serrano-Clark, Luis Zahera, Ainhoa Santamaría, Mireia Rey, Luis Callejo, Dafnis Balduz, Jorge Andreu, Itziar Aizpuru, Pep Tosar and Miquel García-Borda complete an exceptional cast.
