GOL TV exceeds one million subscribers

Mediapro's premium football channel reaches its first million subscribers in just over three months. Some 150,000 subscribers come from paid DTT.

Imagen gráfica Gol Tv (Zeligstudio)Gol TV, Mediapro's premium football channel, has reached a total of 1,040,043 subscribers in just over three months, of which 150,000 are through Paid DTT, a modality that was approved by the Government on August 13. Since its launch, the number of subscribers to the channel has experienced spectacular growth that has allowed it to reach this million-dollar number of subscribers in record time.

Gol TV is distributed through all currently possible windows: Premium DTT, cable platforms, IPTV and mobile phones. 15% of subscribers subscribe through paid DTT; 16%, through cable platforms (Ono, Euskaltel, Telecable, Grupo R, Aotec, Iseca); 60% through IPTV (Imagenio, Orange, Andorra Telecom and Jazztel); and 9% by mobile phone (Movistar, Vodafone and Orange). Particularly noteworthy are the strong increases registered in subscribers through Premium DTT and mobile phones.
