Sony Creative Software releases new update for Vegas Pro

Sony Creative Software has announced Vegas Pro 10.0d at NAB 2011. which, among other improvements, expands its GPU-accelerated AVC encoding support to video editing professionals, using AMD's ATI graphics chipsets, which support OpenCL.

The popular non-linear editor Sony Creative Software (Booth C11001), Vegas, now includes improved titling options, full 3D solutions, support for ATI graphics chipsets from AMD using OpenCL as well as improved workflow group tracking.

Vegas Pro 10.0d's enhanced support for titling provides editors with the ability to read and write embedded MPEG-2 titles, enabling a unified workflow for EIA-608, EIA-708 and MXF delivery options.

Continuing the superior editing flexibility of this software, Vegas Pro 10.0d features recording to full-frame 3D Blu-ray discs. These updates allow audiovisual content creators to efficiently produce compelling content for broadcasters and broadband distribution, theatrical exhibitions and on YouTube 3D.
