Zeta Cinema begins filming 'Anacleto: secret agent'
The new film by Javier Ruiz Caldera ('3 Too Many Weddings', 'Phantom Promotion' and 'Spanish Movie') stars Imanol Arias and Quim Gutiérrez.
Zeta Cinema has just started filming Anacleto: secret agent, directed by Javier Ruiz Caldera and based on the characters created by Vázquez, published by Ediciones B.
After establishing himself as one of the best comedy directors in Spain (3 extra weddings, Ghost Promotion y Spanish movie), Ruiz Caldera takes charge of this new project, for which he has a cast headed by Imanol Arias and Quim Gutiérrez, who will be accompanied by Alexandra Giménez, Berto Romero, Carlos Areces, Rossy de Palma and Emilio Gutiérrez Caba, among others.
On this occasion, Ruiz Caldera directs an action comedy, with a healthy dose of “bad milk,” that updates one of Bruguera's classic characters. With a script by Fernando Navarro, Breixo Corral and Pablo Alen, this film, which has the participation of TVE, TVC and Canal Plus, will be one of the great cinematographic bets of 2015.
The film presents Adolfo, a thirty-something who works as a security agent and who is going through a bad patch. Not only does his lifelong girlfriend leave him for being a guy without ambition but, to make matters worse, he becomes the target of a series of thugs led by Vázquez, a dangerous criminal who has just escaped from prison.
His world falls apart when he discovers that his father has a double identity. He is not a farmer dedicated to the production of sausages, as he has believed all his life, but rather he is Anacleto, a secret agent in low times and the man who locked up Vázquez thirty years ago. Adolfo will have to leave his comfort zone and collaborate with his father, the person with whom he understands the worst in the world, to survive Vázquez's revenge and, in the process, between shootings and chases, try to get his girlfriend back.
