The first result of the cooperation between JVC and Zixi is an integrated solution for IP content production and dissemination included in JVC's popular camcorders, which will allow broadcasting over IP without any additional equipment.

JVC y Zixi, a company specialized in IP TV broadcasting for networks enabled to work in the cloud, have formalized an alliance to promote this innovative solution in the conventional television broadcasting sector.

Compared with conventional transmission methods, the advantages of IP transmission technology show its full effectiveness working in the field and making live video transfer easier and faster. In particular, both ENG and EFP applications benefit from minimal technical deployments, great cost savings, maximum ease of use and more efficient workflows. Additionally, signal transmission is secure and lossless, with minimal latency rates.

GY-HM650The first result of the cooperation between JVC and Zixi is an integrated solution for IP content production and broadcasting included in JVC's GY-HM650, GY HM850 and GY-HM890 cameras, which means there is no need for any additional equipment. JVC will present this solution with Zixi technology at the next IBC this year; JVC changes its traditional location at this IBC and goes to pavilion 11 at stand G30. On September 12, at 3:00 p.m., Gustav Emrich, Product Manager of JVC, and Israel Drori, President and Founder of Zixi, will make a joint presentation of this solution at the IBC Content Everywhere Cloud Solutions event that will take place at stand A19 in pavilion 3 of IBC, an area dedicated to cloud technology and which has Free access for visitors.

Zixi streaming technology uses an advanced error correction system to compensate for packet loss, which can occur during data transmission over wireless Internet connections. With this work philosophy, the decoder dynamically analyzes the performance of the Internet link (Link Monitoring) and ensures that the camera optimizes the necessary bandwidth settings to maintain an adequate signal for broadcast.

If necessary, data packets are transmitted again with a resulting latency that is kept within narrow limits. This advanced error correction system is capable of reliably compensating for jitter as well as packet loss by up to 30 percent. In this way, stable data streaming is ensured in difficult transmission conditions, even if the signal detection of conventional systems fails. For security reasons, the camera's LCD monitor and viewfinder constantly monitor the transmission status and signal quality. On the receiving side, only a Zixi-compatible decoder or server is required.

Using Zixi services provides additional benefits, such as timeshift streaming and cloud recording/playback of cloud data.

Zixi technology is already widely implemented in OTT (Over The Top) content platforms, online content service providers, broadcasters, fiber optic and satellite network operators, news agencies, live sports content producers and many companies from different sectors.
