LaSexta and Bambú Producciones have started filming Refugiados, their new prime time series. The fiction stars Natalia Tena (Game of Thrones, Harry Potter), David Leon (RocknRolla, Vera) y Will Keen (Holby City, The Bill, The Impressionists, The Wire, Casualty 1907, Elisabeth) alongside Brendan Price (The Nameless), Gillian Apter (Celia), and Charlotte Vega (The secret of Puente Viejo), also at the head of the cast. Original idea by Ramón Campos, Gema R. Neira, Adolfo Valor and Cristóbal Garrido and directed by David Pinillos, it will be recorded in locations in the Community of Madrid. Jacobo Martínez will be in charge of photography, while Jorge de Soto will be in charge of art direction.

Refugees It is recorded in English with a British cast and falls within the realistic or nearfy science fiction genre, in vogue on television (In the Flesh, The Revenants, The Dome). It is a dramatic thriller with a futuristic premise and where the natural environment is of great importance. The series consists of a first season of eight episodes, approximately 50 minutes long.
An unprecedented exodus… and a family in danger

In Refugees Humanity is suffering the greatest exodus in its history. 3 billion people from the future have traveled to the present fleeing an imminent global disaster. All refugees must follow two rules: They cannot talk about the future and they cannot interact with their families.

The arrival of the refugees takes everyone by surprise, including the Cruz family. The series focuses on their story, that of Samuel, Emma and little Ana. The upheaval that their existence suffers after the arrival at their house of a mysterious refugee, Alex, who comes with an incredible mission that will change their lives and who will not hesitate to do whatever it takes to fulfill it, even break the rules...
