Spanish Television and the production company Programas y Tv begin recording 'iFamily'
Written by José Luis Acosta and directed by Rafa Montesinos, this family comedy has Óscar Montesinos as director of photography.
Spanish Television has begun recording the new family comedy this Monday Family, produced in collaboration with Programs and TV (Juan Alexander). Written by José Luis Acosta and directed by Rafa Montesinos, the series consists of eight chapters. Antonio Resines, Fernando Cayo, Antonio Garrido, Raúl Fernández and Bárbara Goenaga are its main protagonists.
Family revolves around a family, two brothers, and a past to heal, in a comedic tone where the smile coexists with the emotions provoked by everyday situations, punctuated by the digital world that surrounds us.
The series is based on two brothers who have been at odds for years over a woman, Marta, who died. Luis (Antonio Garrido) rose to a high economic position through bad tricks, and has to simulate a coma so as not to end up paying for his excesses before the law. The other, Kike (Raúl Fernández), is a minor scoundrel, marked by his weakness for gambling. The two end up forced to live under the same roof, having, in one way or another, to “take care” of Luis's four children, and Kike's nephews. Only Kike and Luis's lawyer, Girón (Fernando Cayo), know the secret of the false coma.
The family is made up of four children: Ana (Alicia Chojnowski), 7 years old, naive and very curious; Miguel (Arnau Colomer), 12 years old and with serious communication problems; Carlos (Santi Díaz), 15 years old, a teenager who admires his father; and Laura (Sara Vidorreta), 16, a tough girl who acts as a mother, confronting any adult who endangers her siblings. Africa (Alicia Fernández) is in charge of taking care of them.
On the other hand there is the environment where Kike has always moved, the timba, the neighborhood bar, the rogue world. There Curro (Antonio Resines) is the king. He owned a pool hall where Luis and Kike went when they were teenagers.
Inés (Carmen Garay) is Curro's daughter and Kike's best friend, and she will try to help him in any way she can. To further complicate things, Kike has to convince Lola (Bárbara Goenaga), a strict social worker, that he is responsible enough to take care of his nephews.
Leading the executive production are Javier García Díaz (TVE) and Juan Alexander, on behalf of Programs and TV, with Miguel Ángel Larraya in production direction. Oscar Montesinos is in charge of photography for the series.
