Harmonic will show at IBC solutions to transform video production and distribution
From virtualized video solutions to Ultra HD encoding and distribution, Harmonic will present at IBC its newest proposals for broadcast, cable, telecommunications, satellite and multi-screen environments.
Harmonic will conduct a series of demonstrations at IBC of a variety of technologies and solutions designed to transform video production and distribution in broadcast, cable, telecommunications, satellite and multi-screen environments.
From virtualized video infrastructures to ultra HD encoding and distribution, these solutions enable operators to deploy cost-effective, flexible video architectures with optimal quality to maximize the value of existing bandwidth and promote new revenue-generating services.
Among other demonstrations, IBC attendees will see how the VOS software-based architecture and the Electra XVM virtualized media processor offer operators unprecedented levels of efficiency through intelligent feature integration and the ability to leverage an IT-centric infrastructure.
Peter Alexander, vice president and CMO of Harmonic, acknowledges that "all of the technologies and solutions we will highlight at IBC have been designed to bring simplicity, flexibility, scalability and efficiency to operators, something that is becoming increasingly important as video production and distribution becomes more complex. At this show, Harmonic will demonstrate its most recent innovations, including software-defined virtualizable video distribution, which brings together all multimedia processing functions on a single platform.
