The municipal radio station Radio Martos (Jaén) has just completed a technical renovation project to adapt the facilities that had been launched in 1993 to provide coverage to the southern countryside of the province of Jaén and part of Córdoba.

During these two decades, Radio Martos has been gaining prestige through the work carried out by a team full of enthusiasm and desire to make a radio station adapted to the environment in which it operates. Although music is the main content and perhaps the one that reaches the audience the most, Radio Martos has not stopped worrying about other facets of the radio, making it a true speaker through which the entire community can participate in the concerns or complaints of citizens, being present in the large and small events that take place in its area of influence.

For the technical renovation project, Radio Martos has chosen AEQ as main contractor for the equipment, installation and commissioning of its new studios, starting with the recently launched studio 1 in which an AEQ Forum console has been installed along with new furniture, wiring, players, microphones, speakers, clocks...

AEQ Forum is a mixing console designed for the control of on-air emissions, which incorporates all the basic features necessary in this type of environment: automatic monitor cut-off, cough cut-off, faderstart, signaling control, control signals for the automation of external equipment, management of external communications through its integrated digital telephone hybrid modules, intercommunication...

Thanks to its modular design and small size, AEQ Forum adapts perfectly to different scenarios: self-control, booth control, television production controls, sound production, mixed configurations and integration in large installations. Simplicity and control power are combined in AEQ Forum to cover both the most basic and advanced operating needs, starting with a minimum control surface of 4 faders and can be easily expanded up to 8 and 12 independent channels with the standard chassis and up to 20 channels with the Grand Forum chassis.

The second study that Radio Martos has requested is based on an AEQ Capitol digital console, with similar characteristics to the previous AEQ Forum console, but with a smaller input and output capacity. AEQ Capitol is ideal for recording booths or auxiliary on-air studios.

Both studios are connected by fiber optics, which allows access to all the signals present in the studios, as well as being able to control the booth, located in the center of the facilities. In this way, each control can have the booth for live broadcast or recording.

Another important acquisition has been a pair of IP audiocodecs. Phoenix Mobile for outdoors and Phoenix Mercury in the studio.
