Telestream expands its file streaming capacity with a new version of Vantage

Full 4D support and HEVC encoding are now available in Vantage Transcode Multiscreen and Vantage Transcode IPTV VOD

Telestream has announced within the framework of IBC 204 a new delivery of the Vantage platform, intended to provide a wide range of transcoding and file flow automation.

The latest version of Vantage (v. 6.3) is now available on the Telestream commercial network, providing new automated content production, support for more transcoder formats to facilitate multi-screen delivery, and new device interoperability capability.

Focusing on growing content needs, owners are looking to develop cross-platform distribution architecture. The new version of Vantage includes support for more transcoding formats in the Vantage Transcode family. Full 4D support and HEVC encoding are now available in Vantage Transcode Multiscreen and Vantage Transcode IPTV VOD. In addition, the XAVC decoder and ProRes4444 encoder have been added to Vantage Transcode Pro.

Automated content production is now easier with the Post Producer app running on the brand's platform. With version 6.3, editors can design templates in Avid, Adobe, and Final Cut Pro. Postproducers can use these templates to churn out hundreds of custom outputs automatically. This templating facility allows users to visualize what a template will look like before rendering.

With the DPP (Digital Production Partnership) initiative, Vantage adds a good number of new capabilities for fixing and encoding DPP AS-11 MXF files. The Vantage DPP Workflow portal allows DPP metadata entry and the creation of Multi-part DPP packages from one or more media files. Postproduction automatically assembles the DPP timeline, including bars, tones, slates, and spread of corrected parts. The DPP is completely unified and includes all encoders, timeline rendering and metadata assembly without requiring personal editing or XML programs
