Qlive provides the public corporation with automatic ingestion control for event recording.

QLive

Recording content in the broadcast environment is a task that is increasingly essential within the workflows of television channels, whether it is intended for broadcast, archiving or publication on other platforms such as the web.

QLive is the tool developed by QinMedia that covers these needs in an automatic and unattended way and that allows the content generated on the TV platform to be maximally profitable.

TVE has implemented QLive to provide a solution for the recovery of “live” content generated in the broadcast environment, and destined for documentary collections. Of course, QLive allows the recovery of any content reproduced in Continuity, not just live events.

QLive is integrated with TVE's ADC automation systems and Nexio video servers from Imagine (Harris). The channels generated in Emissions are recorded in a 24-hour loop on Nexio and with the information from the ADC “As-Run-log” QLive generates the sub-clips based on pre-established rules. QLive manages the compaction of segmented content, creating a single clip automatically.

The clips created on the Nexio server are transferred by QLive to an external repository with their associated metadata pending a recovery request from documentary collections. The contents may have an expiration date in which QLive removes them from the repository in order to always maintain available storage space without the need for manual storage management.

Thus, QLive is an application that allows you to automate the ingestion of content and manage the processes derived from it, creating specific workflows for ingestion, selection of the desired material, compaction, management and transfers. This is a living and adaptable tool that continues adding functionalities required by clients and with the ability to adapt to specific flows of each project.
