The children of Paco de Lucía reveal the most intimate guitarist
‘Paco de Lucía: the search’, a work that the artist could not see ended by his unexpected death, Goya achieves the best long documentary.
The Goya for the best documentary fell to Paco de Lucía: the search, a work that Paco de Lucía could not see end of his unexpected death. It is a piece that has agreed to the public and critics and that now receives the consideration of the Academy. His son, Curro Sánchez, director of the documentary, said that the statuette will be placed next to the Goya that his father won.
As Curro Sánchez explains, “The project, filmed in digital, is made with cameras Canon 5D and the assembly has been done with Cut 7. We have started it in our producer and, eventually, we edit in Seville with José Manuel García Moyano. ”
Curro Sánchez has continued explaining that “my brother and I have collaborated in the script. We did not have much margin to develop and the project, with its great musical and emotional burden, since we left a previously recorded material that guided us and conditioned the way. Above all, we were clear that our mission was that people discover the true revolution that was Paco de Lucía, why it was who it was.”
For their children, making this documentary was a debt with Paco and they themselves because a character with the ability of Lucia's Paco had to reconcile love, affection and respect of everyone, deserved someone to put the camera and the observer eye.
