Amazon Prime Video produces 'Fernando', an intimate and personal portrait of the F1 world champion

The new Amazon Exclusive documentary series, which it produces together with The Mediapro Studio, will offer Prime members exclusive access to the life of the pilot and his team over the last year.

Amazon Prime Video has announced its next exclusive documentary series, Fernando, a unique portrait of the Formula 1 world champion and one of the most successful and well-known athletes in Spanish sport, Fernando Alonso.

Showing his life on and off the circuit, with his moments of glory and dejection during the months of preparation for his first Dakar Rally in South America, the five-episode docuseries will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in Spain, France, Italy, the United Kingdom and Latin America this year.

The documentary series shows Alonso's passion for competition at the highest level and his determination to win. Documented over the past year, from his presence on the most important circuits, such as the Indianapolis 500 or the 24 Hours of Le Mans, to culminating in his debut in the Dakar rally last January, Fernando gives viewers unprecedented access to the life of the Formula 1 world champion. During the documentary series, Alonso's inner circle reveals the man behind the champion. His manager Luis García Abad; his sister, Lorena Alonso; his partner, Linda Morselli; and some of his colleagues such as Carlos Sainz will appear in the documentary series.
